Do you know what drystone masonry is? Neither did I before this project which had over $100k of it in the backyard! It’s an old world craftsman technique that uses no mortar to hold the stones together. This fantastic project in St. Paul was done by Daniel Arabella of Arabella Stoneworks. This was a huge challenge to photograph given the trees and the sun making blotches all over the stonework – thus it became a dusk shoot. This made everything look amazing and really showed off the stonework once the lights came on and the stone was moistened.
